    Buying an RV-6a/7a

My advice for you is this- don't bother reading the thread you started looking for helpful information. Your sincere attempt at gathering useful information has turned into pages of flaming and d!ck measuring. I joined this forum a few weeks ago on a similar quest, and think I'm done now. Ciao.

    KLMO flooding

And I'm supposed to travel to Denver on Monday for work. Nice. Company's located in Centennial area- be interesting to see if my trip gets postponed/cancelled. Best wishes to all affected up there!

    Glasair III for the win

I'm fairly sure that former air show pilot/ US Aerobatic Team member/ current Red Bull Air Race pilot Kirby Chambliss was a S.W. driver also before he went full-time acro... Obviously, I don't know your skills/abilities- maybe you're the next big thing?

    RV7 Touch-n-go's Cockpit View GoPro

Very cool. What make and model are your two display units, if I might ask? Beautiful panel you've got...

BJJ to PHX in one day

Ahh, to be young/low-time again! Ditto on what was said above about arriving PHX after dark, compounded by a day like that. You lose 3 hours before engaging the starter too. I've done Pittsburgh-Phoenix in a longgg day before in a Bonanza- also remember doing Phoenix-Grand Island Nebraska-South...

    Lancair or Glasair forums anywhere?

I'd never heard of it, until you mentioned it. I checked it out. Looks nice, but is a little slower than I'm looking for. I'd like a bit more performance all around. And either RG or taildragger configuration most likely. Thanks for the tip though!

Another GoPro Effort -- From Under the Wing

Could it be mounted facing forward at the top of the vertical stab? Some light acro, etc. would be pretty awesome from that vantage point... Very cool videos, btw. I'd love to try it someday, but am clueless about the editing part. I like your choice in music for these vids too.

Real Cost of Ownership: Helicopters (Bell 47)

Staggering. The list of life-limited components, each requiring its own "reserve," is unreal. Part of the reason a ride in a three-million dollar EMS helicopter costs what it does. I said PARTof the reason, lol.

    Hello

From another AZ pilot- welcome. Although I'm pretty new here too.

    Multiple camera heli crash

Landing sideways doesn't seem logical. "Lest the earth rise up and smite thee" just jumped into my head... Glad the injuries were "minor."

    Calling Central Oregon Pilots!

Will likely be relocating to the Bend/Redmond area in the not-too-distant future. Would like to converse with someone local concerning the different airports, etc. probably easiest to talk via email or a phone call would be great. Areas/airports I'm interested in are Bend, Sunriver, Madras...

How much 100LL to stabilize MoGas?

Yikes. And then at the end they say you can use non-ethanol 91+ octane Mogas. Seems to be contrary to the message of the whole SB prior to that point, doesn't it?

How much 100LL to stabilize MoGas?

I'd never (knowingly) run ethanol. I'm thinking Lancair 320/360 or Glasair I for an aircraft. I doubt if I'd ever even run straight Mogas- most likely adding it (topping off) 1/2ish full tanks at home before a couple of 100LL fill-ups on my trips. Thanks again for the feedback.

How much 100LL to stabilize MoGas?

Sort of on-topic questions here- I'm a long-time pilot, but new to dealing with auto gas STC, and am looking to join the ranks of experimental aircraft owners. The idea of using SOME Mogas mixed with 100LL to cut the cost down is very inviting, and I have a 90-gallon tank I could use for...

How much 100LL to stabilize MoGas?

Was the hole a result of running straight Mogas, and that's why you switched to the 75/25 blend?

    Lancair or Glasair forums anywhere?

I should mention that even though I suggested the above, I have zero ability to do such a thing. If anyone decided to do it though, I'd love to join!

    Lancair or Glasair forums anywhere?

Thanks all for the feedback. The ideas to start something new sound promising- I'd love to see a forum for the "plastic" plane group, personally. A little variety (make/model) would be neat; would likely attract more builders, etc. and owners/builders could share the common build issues that...

    Flying club help

Obviously, I spend too much time on Facebook. As I read through this thread, I keep wanting to "LIKE" posts! Best wishes with your club issues. My experience with both clubs and air parks has been frustrating- too many Type "A" personalities!

    M20C comparable experimental

My bad. I read the original post days ago- for some reason the way I remembered it was that he wanted to go faster than the Mooney, and have four seats. Forgot that the objective apparently was to stay in the same price range of the M20C.
