Yeah I was stretching it with 20000. My wife and I bought a 2010 Ford Fusion with 8500 miles...no thrills. 14k cash. Still smelled new! 29/35 mpg.

I don't understand why people choose to waste so much money on a car, especially new. And I don't want to hear how they hold their value. They don't. Buy a 2 year old, 20000 dollar car and use the extra 20K for something that makes sense. It is a tool that gets you from A to B, nothing more.

I have a chance to do some time in a Redbird simulator. I am pre solo in my PPL. It's $90 an hour w/o CFI. Is this worth it?

Yeah that is very true. I am NOT in that group. I am still in the training phases but when I get my license I will be excited to bring the kids (one is 9 mos, the other due in August). Now as far as what my wife says, it may not matter what I think. Which makes me wonder now, how many hours...

Thank you. I bought the same course and thought it was horrible! I called them and got a refund. I am now studying with Gleim and ASA books. I look up things on the internet when I have questions. Youtube has decent videos on just about all subjects. I also bought Rod Machado book (MP3)...
