Therapy with no Diagnosis - Will Airlines know?

Ok, thanks. Is the AME the same doctor that issued me my first class medical?

Therapy with no Diagnosis - Will Airlines know?

iHenning, are you saying that since I already have the medical, seeking therapy beyond this point will not endanger me? Also, if I pay cash, and as to not report it with my insurance, can this even be detected by airlines? Will paying cash keep me under the radar?

Therapy with no Diagnosis - Will Airlines know?

Thanks, appreciate it. I always seem to get responses here. This forum is great. Unlike that other major aviation forum thats impossible to get posting privileges in.

Therapy with no Diagnosis - Will Airlines know?

I understand what you are saying. And just to be clear, I do currently have a clean bill of health. At this point, no hole has been dug. All my past medical history has been acknowledged and declared acceptable by the FAA. However, if I decide to seek additional therapy, it seems it will...

Therapy with no Diagnosis - Will Airlines know?

And lets not forget patient doctor confidentiality. They are not allowed to reveal anything about the patient or what he/she says unless they feel they are a threat to themselves or others. There a a few more exceptions involving legal matters. So if the therapist (Doctor) feels it is...

Therapy with no Diagnosis - Will Airlines know?

Should a Pilot be prosecuted for the act of consulting with a therapist for personal, minor and unrelated issues to flying? I am not trying to "game" the FAA or slip through the hiring system in any way. I'm only trying to exercise my right to seek my own private consultation without...

Therapy with no Diagnosis - Will Airlines know?

Ok, I did have a diagnosis but I received a letter from a Psychiatrist proving that it was a mis-diagnosis and that I am medically fit to be Pilot and get a medical. All I said in my original post was that I have no current diagnosis, which is absolutely true. My past, which now seems null...

Therapy with no Diagnosis - Will Airlines know?

So I recently got my PPL. I've also got a current first class medical and I plan to get all my ratings through MEI and go to the regionals. I have no current diagnosis but have been to therapists and psychiatrists in my early childhood. (I'm 21 now) When I first got my medical, I had to...

Anyone go to Oxford Aviation Academy in Phoenix?

While I appreciate all the advice given here, I did the whole local FBO part 61 training for my PPL. Made some great connections and it was a great experience. But I have chosen to pursue 141 training for my own reasons. What I am asking here is if anyone has any specific information on...

Anyone go to Oxford Aviation Academy in Phoenix?

Well, frankly, I am salivating at the airlines. That's my dream. Does Oxford provide any real benefit in that sense? And can you please recommend the best 141 school in the Phoenix area? Btw I live in the CT/NYC area and am considering either Florida or AZ for a school. Thanks!

Anyone go to Oxford Aviation Academy in Phoenix?

I just got my PPL and now want to go to a part 141 school to complete the rest of my ratings. Goal is to go to the regionals. I've been looking at Aerosim Flight Academy in Sanford, FL. It has a good program and reputation but is very expensive. I recently came across a place called...

Recently started flight training - need some advice

Yes, the charter job is paid and I would log all hours as SIC time. (First officer) I don't know how much it pays, but most likely very poorly like any first year pilot job. I don't know if I will want to stick with charter/corporate flying for my career, or use this possible charter job to...

Recently started flight training - need some advice

And regarding research on future employment, I have done a ton of that. I've heard mixed things about job security and availability in the future (specifically 2013-2015 when I'll be looking) I've heard American Eagle is hiring some 600 pilots through next year. I've also heard of the new...

Recently started flight training - need some advice

Ok thanks. I realize I'm a long way off from getting my commercial multi, I'm just career minded and thinking ahead like anyone should. So the general consensus is that if the charter job is available after I obtain my commercial multi, then take it without worrying about a CFI and if it...

Recently started flight training - need some advice

Hi, I'm new here. I recently began my flight training, currently having about 10 hours TT. I plan on becoming a commercial pilot and flying for a living. Here is my situation. I'm training at a small part 61 flight school, on track to obtain my privates, instrument, single engine...
