Medical/Student Cert Not Found in FAA DB

Check the spelling and try spaces and such. I have a similar problem because my license shows mchxxx and my medical shows mc hxxx (with a space). A real pain on the butt to get corrected too.

USA Today story on General Aviation Crashes

The story is pretty inflamatory, but with that said, the NTSB does like to blame the pilot too much. I've seen pilots take a fuel exhaiustion wrap even though they drained 18 gallons of fuel (where PoH says 2 gal unusable), crashes with missing propellers, etc. Sent from my SM-T325 using Tapatalk

Uncontrolled airport: Full or partial call sign?

I don't use a callsign at all, just color and type. No need to volunteer free information to those who own scanners and live to complain. Sent from my SM-T325 using Tapatalk

    instrument training questions

This has the potential to work, but should be done with a CFI. If you fly with a CFI to get the lessons, and then practice what was taught to proficiency, then this works well. Flying at 55% power on long cross country flights for 25 hours with a safety pilot will never work.

Please help me with this. HSI depiction - IR test question

The way I pitched this question to my students is that if you look at the first figure, you see the Outer and Inner Markers depicted. This turns the entire question in to a LOC question and not a VOR question, then you can only have one answer.

    Two Questions

You should always assume situation "a" and announce your intentions in much the same way you would at an uncontrolled airport, this way, if your transmitter does work, ATC will have a better understanding of what you are doing. For "b", ATC will have you acknowledge their instructions by...

    iPad teaching app

So you've all seen the old war movies where the generals are standing around a large table with a large map on it, and movable "game pieces" representing their troops, ships, aircraft and suspected enemy locations. I'm looking for an iPad version of this "war table" to use in assisting in...
