    PA32, 210 or Bonanza

+1, Thank you. I just found this thread and read the whole thing. I'll add my .02 and try to stay out of the Shizz. I've flow all 3 and owned a Cherokee and Cessna. 1- The Bonanza's are the best built and best handling of the bunch, by a huge margin in both categories. But they don't...

    1963 C-182 Skylane for sale

I have studied the 182 market for the last 4 years. We bought my buddy a 1970 and I ended up buying a 205. The '62 and '63 are a little less desirable because of the goofy rear windows and the small elevator. They are always cheaper than the '64 which has the small tail but looks like a...

Proper procedure for touch up paint on control surfaces?

So when the paint flaked off, it changed the balance already. So one must balance the control surface to account for the missing paint then re-balance it to account for the touch-up??? I'm out of balance, Crap!

    1972 Cessna 182?

The gear was shortened in '57 and again in '61. Your friends '56 has the tallest gear ever installed on a 182 and that may be why it doesn't fit in a particular hangar.

Looking for painter in Las Vegas or Phoenix area

Are you talkin' about Straube's in Ogden? They do a good job and I've checked out some of their recent work closely. I think they may be pricier than Edgar up there. Hope they aren't going out of buiz... Master Aircraft in Wickenburg AZ gets high marks from the press, so does Arizona...

    KX-155

I have a KX-155 and Garmin 430 and the 155 outshines in distance and clarity, period. Only issue in 10 years with the 155 is some digit segments flickering on cold days until the thing warms up. I get that the 155 is old and getting harder and more expensive to repair. I'm not sure why the...

    Gatts Training for Instrument Rating

I'd appreciate any feedback on Gatts Advanced Flight Training in Kansas. I'm considering using them for my IFR rating in the coming months. I'm not having any luck trying to slug away at training with work, family, little-league and life in general. I've set a goal to get it done and would...

    2013 IFR Knowledge Test Changes?

I read this statement in P&P yesterday.. Since June of 2012, The FAA has gotten wise to students simply memorizing written test answers, so they no longer publish the instrument exam questions. They've added questions and scrambled the way questions are presented. As a result, you need a...
