I do use a digital logbook but it's an excel spreadsheet I created myself. Has multiple pages with graphs showing currency, landings, night, day, etc. Also has a graph showing total time in different aircraft.

How about living in North America and having to choose whether or not you want to continue in ENGLISH!!! Here's what I'd like to hear: To continue in English press 1 now. To continue in Spanish, move to Mexico

Like my CFI told me, there are no emergency take offs, but if you think something will compromise safety if flight, then declare an emergency.

I think what you are looking for is financier.

Pilots are trained to manage risk. I'd rather learn from others experiences than my own.

Got my PL last year at 48yo. Took me 5 months to complete my training and did my check ride at 40.9 hrs. Just bought a C172m this past April and I'm having a blast! Yea...you can do it!

I use the iPad3 every time I fly and I never use it without my bad elf gps. I found at alt. over 3000 I'd lose signal so I always use the elf.

My local FBO has 2 C172's that rent for $109.00 per/hr wet. All they ask that if you take it for several days, to fly it at least 1hr per/day. If you don't, it's no big deal.

Trying to justify the $ spent on anything you enjoy doing will drive you insane. Not sure if anyone's mentioned it here or not, but you can not leave out the approximately $8,000 it will cost to get your PL. Whether hunting, fishing, boating, etc. if you enjoy doing and can afford it - then...

Conversations like this are enjoyable but it's like someone who hunts, fishes, or plays golf trying to justify what they spend. I don't hunt or play golf....I FLY!
