OMA hit by tornado 4-26

The airport is closed. Looks bad.

Attached happened at my home base last year. The amphibious probably wasn’t tied down well and flipped onto the Skylane. Both total loss. Sadly the Skylane was owned by a jump school that was finally starting to see profits. Probably wipe them out. Still nothing compared to OMA. My heart goes out to them!

Very sad for the owners based at OMA. Unfortunately, it impacts us all as well, as losses to GA aircraft due to weather events and mishaps will continue to drive the insurance rates higher and higher.

That's not going to buff out. Really rotten luck.

Sad seems storms are getting stronger, not much hope if the airport suffers a direct hit from tornados.
