HAPPY PI DAY!!

5 years ago, my then-11-years-old daughter's math teacher offered extra credit for memorizing digits of pi. She memorized 54 digits! And by doing so, maxed out the extra credit the teacher was willing to give.

Celebrate with Cherry pie and a damn fine coffee.

Nice! My 12 y/o got up to the 30-40 digit range I think. Yet he can't remember to turn of the dadgum light when he leaves a room.

All together, now...

Tangent, cotan,
Cosine sine,
Three point one four one five nine,
Yaaaaaaay, PI!!

Similar situation here, with my kid. Can recite π to a much higher precision than he'll ever need, but ask him to help with building a piece of furniture and he's more of a hindrance than anything. I need to figure out how to equip him for the real world before too long
