Baltic sea bizjet crash 9/4/2022

But seriously folks, unless that was a catastrophic depress (and it doesn't appear to be) it shouldn't have ended this way.
The water in the area should be less than 100 meters in depth, so hopefully they can recover important bits, if not fragmented beyond usefulness.

Is this jet approved for single pilot ops??

The latest on other EU based sites state it was a private Citation flown single pilot by owner and over flew its destination in Germany and eventually crashed off coast of Latvia due to probable fuel exhaustion. Last ATC comm was distorted and pilot stated pressurization problem. NATO jets that intercepted stated no one sighted in cockpit.

In the US, you can get a single pilot type rating, but it isn’t valid in Canada or Mexico/S America.

I have no idea how the EU does it.

Edit: disregard, I just noticed it was apparently a 551 which I believe is actually type certified for single pilot
