I recognize those cruddy hangars and pavement; you based at Houston Hooks?
I picked it up at Hooks. This picture was taken on that proud day. I am based in the Chicago area. Good eye though!

Currently a 2006 SR22 G2.

Love to fly something burning JetA and pressurized, but that's not in the budget; I've seen some I could buy, but $1,000/hr, and up, is just too much.

I had a 2006 SR22 (and then a 2012 SR22T) and I really loved them both. But the Jet A burning, pressurized planes are worth it...
 
How do you like flying that one? My favorite part of the Navy training video is where the instructor is telling all the new pilots how they'll never be able to trim the airplane for hands off flight.
So far with a whopping 6 hours in the SB2C, I quite like it. It's a pretty nice flying ship with light ailerons and a bit heavier on pitch, but it's pretty well harmonized. It trims out fairly well, can go hands off for a few moments, but then it'll start to wander a bit. Has a big roomy cockpit. With the wide gear on long struts it sorta lands like a 15000 pound PT-19... nice.
 
Yes! Other than that strange kitchen appliance looking thing in pic 1 that erroneously made it into a flying thread, you're my spirit animal broffesor! G-III is where it's at! You're gonna look good on it too, that plane makes everyone look cool.

They are amazing, if it's what you're looking for. I recently had the opportunity to fly in a Glasair...to reiterate that is fly IN...not fly. Man, I need to up my yoga game if I am going to comfortably fit in that airplane. Once in, it's great, if you like your legs straight out. But wow, that's a tight cockpit. If it works for you, it's hard to beat. It's an amazingly slippery/fast/agile airplane.
 
^^^^ That said, I fly a beat up Cherokee 140. It flies amazingly smooth for what it is. I hope to spend many more hours with it.

Future goal... an RV-9A.


Lottery winnings.... 3 planes. A Cardinal, a Zenith 750, and an Rv-9A. And an airpark home.

The III has great performance, but yes the ergonomics are an acquired taste. Im not in the market for one though, the rv-6a and 7a are my target aircraft when i shift that direction.
 
My little “plastic-fantastic” toy and a personal relaxation device … it is all I need at the moment.

Ahhhh... Windwood! A name from the past! Was a nice fly-in. Had a few pictures, but seemed to have lost them. thanks for bringing back a great memory!
 
Does it get really windy in that hangar?
That was in the previous owner's hangar the day we bought it. Looked strange to me too, (but we got a good price).

Since you're only "half" of a C414, does this mean you can fly it with a Single-engine certificate? ;)
I'm not sure, but I like the way you think. Maybe I could get the insurance company to look at it that way.
 
The 732nd Cessna 172 to ever come off the assembly line. It's not fast, doesn't have great paint or fancy avionics. But it's roomy, has great visibility, cheap to operate and maintain, and it's mine.

Currently flying a nicely IFR equipped 1974 172M. Content to finish out my commercial training in it, but wouldn't mind upgrading. Next stop ideally would be a Cherokee 6/300. My grandfather also owned a Twin Commanche that I would love to purchase back someday. He passed away this past year, but we got to fly together before he did. Would be awesome to always have him up there with me by being in his plane!

What I am flying? Nothing right now due to a recent house purchase.
What was I flying? Mostly a few different Cessna 172Ms and a 180 HP Cessna 172N.
What do I wish I was flying? Probably a Sundowner. Slow, but comfortable and powerful enough for my fiancé and I to do a bit of travelling. Plus it's a realistic purchase for us.

Haven't been flying in a while, but fairly certain I've seen your T6 at CPK a couple times when I was doing my PPL training there. Gorgeous airplane.

1959 c150 we picked up for the kids to do lessons, they aren’t going for it so once some new mags are installed it’s onto barnstormers for that one…

Currently fly an Aviat Husky.

Want to fly: the new Flight Design F4 is looking really intriguing. or Dana’s Hatz. But my fellow local Husky friends are too wonderful to abandon. So I’ll probably stick with the Husky.
