Pottstown. Brandywine is about $500/mo if you can find someone renting their hangar. Otherwise, you need to purchase airport shares. 2 shares = 1 T-hangar = $85k-$100k

Yeah....I'm narrowing in on Pottstown Heritage (close, relatively cheap but not much going on), Brandywine (close, clean/nice, not cheap but not awful if you can find someone who's renting out their hangar), Chester County (little cheaper than KPNE, a little closer but has a restaurant on...

i thought about chester county too. it's probably 30-35 mins west of me on a good day but it seems to have a nice set up. I think I'm going to check it out. I wasn't aware until recently that they fly light business jets out of there. . .

Understood but that defeats my quest for a familial airport environment. Some of my favorite childhood memories were eating breakfast while watching planes take off and land at Cherry Ridge (N30)....I love that scene. I just can't seem to find it within 45 mins or so of my house! Also, how...

Does PTW have hangars? The airport manager at Wings tells me there's a 3 year wait for hangar space at Wings and it's >$1000/mo. Brandywine has space but you need to buy in at $90k "for the air inside the hangar" as has been explained to me. I'm paying <$500/mo at PNE.

in the last 11 mos I've jumped back into aviation after a decade long hiatus culminating in my purchase of my Piper Lance in June. I've been hangaring the Lance at KPNE bc my buddy/CFII is a full time corporate pilot who is based out of there. I live in Wayne PA so it's a good 45-50 min drive...

2 70lb labs. I'm in the process of negotiating for the purchase of a straight tail Lance but my heart still likes the idea of the Comanche. Head over heart at this point.

Converting rotary wing instrument to fixed wing

I have my rotary wing instrument. What do I need to do to get my SEL instrument rating at this point? I'm getting different answers from various people with no one really knowing the answer it seems. Anyone go through this that can help me out?

    upgrade to ADS-B w/ a gns530

I am looking at a plane that has gns430/530 stack but are non-waas Plane also has a garmin 330 transponder with TIS. Given that it has TIS, doesn't it have to be a garmin 330ES? (that's at least how I read the Garmin website) so. . . is all I need to do to get ADS-B complaint to...

    Comanche v. Cherokee 6/300

I love the lines on the Comanche. It's really a sweet looking plane. The C in particular. Time on prop is low. 2 blade.
