My Attempt at a $115 ADS-B Receiver Build for Foreflight

I'm gonna try this with my attennas, I extended them and used double sided tape and attached them to either side of the windshield. I have noted in past flights sometimes I'd lose a tower (we don't have many out here in Northern California) so I'd have to slide the unit from one side to the...

    Odd Plane Circling

I'm hangared with the local LE birds... They take their 182 up to 8,500' for their missions.. They have a "whosyerdaddybillybadass" gyro stabilized camera that captures stuff in fine detail The bad guys have no idea they are up there.. I'm just glad my up to no good days are long gone!

    First Aviation Headset - Help

The Faro's use AA batteries. They seem to do the job for us weekend warriors.. Customer service is second to none. I once had an issue with the ear phone jack connection losing a nut.. They had me send them in and sent out a new set after 26mo of use.. Can't beat that

Great! Thanks! On my next go around I think I'm going to stick with the battery power and not use the cigarette lighter outlet on my Cherokee..

My Attempt at a $115 ADS-B Receiver Build for Foreflight

With v4 (latest release) there is no way to really shut it down other than unplug it.. In the beta release there is a shut down option. I'm sticking with v4 on my new raspberry this next go around..

Ok, first things first... When I got the pi I never loaded the OS that came on the supplied SD card..Should I have? Second, I copied the image file to the card and inserted it and away it went.. It worked fine... Just recently I loaded the latest beta release to it .... On the old (official)...
