    You are looking for P/N 26246-00. Mcfarlane or others have them. It is used for the right main tank closest to the door.

    Installing heat in hangar

    I would never want to leave heat on in a hangar unattended. Fuel tanks expand and spill with heat on sometimes, potential for problems. I don't want any units with standing pilot lights on all the time either. Unit heaters should always be ceiling hung also. In addition, have seen furnaces...

    The reason you see tip tanks on Comanches is the early models only had 60 gallons. Later have 90 gal internal. Either can have tips for more range.

    You can call the airport on the unicom 15 minutes out and they can order a taxi for you If pressed for time. Normally we walk into town but take a taxi back when we become tired.

    It's hard to go too far wrong with a Cherokee 140. Don't worry at all about the panel, You will get used to it. Enjoy the experience and dive in!

    You must have been riding in the earliest model without toe brakes. Piper made continuous improvements to the Comanche. A 260 will get a hundred and sixty knots all day long.

    I can do 138 to 140knots lean of peak 65% power setting 10.5 gallons per hour. It's useful on short flights if I'm in no particular hurry, with a 260
