Newsy is pretty good. It gives you the scoop from different sources perspective, so you can kid of hear both sides.

Gotcha. I'm 5 miles west of Sanger. They just closed 455 by my house due to water coming over the road. Clear creek is gonna set a record today.

Good info. We are going to try that zoo out for sure. Lake Murray is cool, but pretty short. And sloped if I remember correctly. There is also a really neat airstrip east of there called Tallahina or something like that. I like flying through the kiamichi area. Way different than north Texas...

So, student pilots.. Who are we and where do we stand?

Wonder if CFI will let you sit back seat during husbands training. Would probably be beneficial

Sport Pilot Here. Got my tailwheel endorsement Wednesday. Also have a new deal worked out to rent a 1941 J3 with an 85. It will be parked in a hanger at a private grass strip about an hour from my house. I'm stoked. Can't wait to take the wife out in it.

    Remos here I come!

You know, now that you mention it, I think it is. Guess I assumed the ramp where I do preflight was not level. Took my last flight for a while in the Remos this evening. Working on my tailwheel endorsement in a 1941 J3, and plan to fly it for a while. Flight I took this evening was to our...

    Remos here I come!

I rent it, but yeah, it generally does if I want to keep the ball centered. I did a cross country last week that was 3 hours one way, 2 hours the other. Had to keep right rudder in the whole trip. Not a lot, but enough to wear my leg out. And since there not spring loaded, really have to keep...

    Remos here I come!

I agree. They are a lot of fun. Have about 50 hours in a G3. Doors off is great. Only thing I don't like is the high wing loading. You feel every bump, and with such a light control force required, bumps are interesting. Other thing that bothers me is that the rudder pedals are not sprung, and...

Which FSS should I use to close a flight plan in Lubbock

Trip completed. And got both flight plans opened and closed. Thanks for the help. I have been using Garmin Pilot to file all my flight plans, which has worked out well so far. I like the clothespin idea. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

In this thread we stray from the topic as far as possible.

ADA inspector here...they are all in the same place. The signs that is. The walking cane can easily detect the door opening. They locate the handle, then the sign. I have been amazed at what people with a sight disability can do.
