Ok - didn't realize that was an exception. Thanks.
IMO it's still pretty irresponsible to try flying in that congested a corridor without radios or transponder, regardless of the legalities. But I'm sure many on here would disagree.
Brad, I think it's irresponsible to fly it without a radio, since a) it's required and b) it's how you can tell other pilots where you are.
But do you think it's irresponsible to fly without a transponder ? Unless the pilots have ADSB traffic, it won't make a difference, and even then they...
Is it legal to fly up the Hudson River, below the bravo airspace without a transponder ? I don't see anything in 14CFR93 that requires a transponder any more...
Actually, this does NOT help. You cannot get the dimensions of restricted airspace. E.g. if I want to know altitudes of R-4005 near DC, this does NOT give me the information...
Pretty much what the title says. On most apps, you can touch the restricted area and get info about it. But is there a place online where you can do the same ? Is there any place online where restricted spaces and their altitudes etc are listed. I know it's on the edge off sectionals, but...
Yes I flew my Mooney into Boston (KBOS) for an Angel Flight. About 5 mi out the controller told me to keep up 180 knots... Heavy aircraft behind me...

I ordered a decal from DTOPS so I could fly from the US to Canada. I never received it in the mail so I tried calling and they say that because of partial government shutdown they are only taking voicemails.
I went back online and my order status is still listed as "Fulfillment Initiated"...
Paul,
I'd say if you are thinking about personal minimums, safety, and evaluating each flight then you are unlikely to be ruining perfectly good power lines !!!:)
GIV-SP ?
I'm not a turbine pilot, so I don't know about the G4's making it in before the 172.
In any case, my only point was a second pilot helps--immensely. One to stare at the gauges and fly, and one to look out the window...I am pretty sure about this !;)
