    AOPA "reimagined" Cessna 150/152

A nice looking airplane (re-imagined C150) - much more attractive than the junker that I did my initial trial flight in. I did go ahead with flight training, of course, with a different school which had a much nicer plane. What's this 'cub' everyone's talking about? :)

Are asian pilots as poor pilots as they are drivers?

Didn't some asian island nation in 1930s produce a corp of naval aviators competent enough to contend for world domination against outsized opponents (though thwarted by their weak communication encryption)? May be a data point that goes against the OP's hypothesis.

    Cheapest route to ADSB

Does anyone know a portable unit like the one in the link below can be used to comply with the 2020 mandate? (The supplier says it will.) Only $1475, and it is not permanently attached to an airplane! http://adsb.skyguardtwx.com/uat-transceivers/

    Drones close to home

There need to be rules. An analogous situation would be if someone drove an RC car into a high speed freeway. Most drivers will agree that this is not an acceptable behavior, which can lead to a major accident resulting in loss of lives and properties. Most drivers/passengers would agree...

LSA speed limit - does it really apply only at the sea level?

According to Sonex Aircraft, to be certified as LSA, a plane needs to be slow only at the sea level. Therefore there is no restriction on speed at higher altitudes. (See the link below.) In fact, this seems to be one of the selling points for Sonex...

A question about popularity of 2-place monoplane form factor

Yeah. I was skeptical about kit planes before, but the more I understand about them, the more they make sense. Unfortunately, it won't be feasible to have this conversation with everyone I may have to travel, let alone prevail in the argument, and I'm afraid if I got an experimental plane...

A question about popularity of 2-place monoplane form factor

Thanks for input and welcome. I guess I'll have to take another look at the market based on suggestions. The mission I have on mind to make 1-day trip from Boise ID to Salt Lake City UT or Portland OR and back. It's important that I'm not exhausted by flight en route and the return...

A question about popularity of 2-place monoplane form factor

Hi! I'm new to general aviation, and I am working towards PPL. I'm also interested in buying a plane, so I am studying the aircraft market also. I think that a 2 seater would work for the vast majority of my flying needs, and therefore it would be the optimal way to go: much less fuel...
