Yes and no - we got the plane and discovered, it has the option installed; finding a R model with the avionics we have would be difficult and investing money and time into installing boots might (!) be less and easier... we will see :)

Hi all, We are considering fitting a WX Radar to a C210. The avionics shop informed me that this was only possible if the wing was prepared / fitted with installations to take the Radome and if these installations were not done out of factory, a WX could not be retrofitted. Anybody knows...

Hi Community, the STC for retrofitting TKS into Cessna 210's includes all from the "L" upwords but does not include the "R" series. Reasons I understand being different / longer wings and stabilizers. Anybody having a guess how complicated (if at all possible) it would be to get that STC...

I guess similat price is already OK... I prefer Boots over TKS but have not many qualified arguments other than with Boots, no TKS liquid tank can run empty... anybody done a retrofit of Boots already?

Hi there, I understand it is technically possible to install boots on a C210 which did not have these off the factory. Commercially – anybody having an indication on how much money that would mean give or take? TKS installation costs somwhere between 40.000 and 45.000 USD as a reference. Thanks :)

Hi! Yes; the older C182 have a much better payloud which you may even increase through various STCs... I would nit have expected the T and S model to have that much less but you never stope learning I guess... :) Maybe we need a C210 afterall. Can carry a lot at high speeds and ok’ish with short...
