    Epley field

If I had lost my Velocity, there's no way I would have been smiling. I can't imagine any payout that would recoup the 8 years it took to build.

Tennessee Senate passes bill outlawing Chemtrails

Whenever I see someone come up with a solution to a climate problem, I'm reminded of things like draining the Everglades, sinking tires off the coast to create reefs, etc. Seems like there's no shortage of people with solutions who don't really understand how the environment works.

Road Bump in Buying a Plane - No Place to Put It

So you state that kits being assembled shouldn't be allowed in hangars. Then you say you weren't talking about kit aircraft. That you were talking about "hangar queens". Then you say hangars should not be used for assembling aircraft. You seem... confused. And it's obvious you also don't...

Road Bump in Buying a Plane - No Place to Put It

Actually you were. You mention "EAA chapter's" and "kits". While there are EAA members who are not building an E/AB aircraft, you specifically mention kits. If this doesn't address experimental aircraft, then what non-Experimental aircraft are a kit that is assembled???

Road Bump in Buying a Plane - No Place to Put It

Since you want to be pedantic... E/AB aircraft don't get an "annual inspection". They get an "annual condition inspection". But even if we let that go, using your view, there would be almost no E/AB aircraft since they all require some level of assembly at the airport before they can fly...

    Lindberg's Final Landing Spot

I had never heard that either. Color me skeptical. Then again, the guy did lead a double life fathering a number of children with other women in Europe while married. One of them figured it out and once that cat was out of the bag the other were discovered.

    April solar eclipse

What I found interesting was that the forecast at Garland, TX was for 30-60% cloud coverage all day. Leading up to the totality, that’s what we were seeing. But as soon as we got to the total eclipse, the cloud cover decreased. By the time the eclipse was over, there wasn’t a cloud anywhere...

KWVI Watsonville MId Air, Multiple Fatalities

After this happened, I looked at the guys previous flights. I found a number of flights where he flew into WVI doing a low approach at high speeds and then coming around to land. So this event does not appear to be isolated. So I guess it's possible he had a mini-stroke on a number of...

    Cobalt Valkyrie

Say what? If there were more weight on the nose gear, why do Long-EZ's have to retract their nose gear when parked so they don't tip back when nobody is in them? And I could lift the nose of my Velocity with one hand. I could never do that on my 182RG.
