    Fatal Mass. Gyroplane Crash, 12/4

The whole idea that 915 power is too much on a 2 seat gyroplane is really not true. It is too much power for a gyroplane rookie who doesn't know what they are doing and need to be saved from themselves (not a good definition for a pilot). I am a sum total of 142 pounds and I fly a 915iS AR-1 and...

    Fatal Mass. Gyroplane Crash, 12/4

I happen to have worked on design, certification and manufacturing setup of both an amphibian plane (Searey) and a gyroplane (AR-1). Also have designed trikes (weightshift control like the Monsoon and the Revo). Also fly Light Sport airplanes like the Cub and Apollo LSA and GA single engine land...

    Open Cockpit Headset/Helmet Recommendations

Use this and I guarantee you'll throw all the rest away. Period. In fact if you get these from me and try them and it does not work and you have not dirtied them up or scratched them up, I will take them back within 60 days after delivery. We have used them in gyroplanes and trikes for a...

Gyroplane/Gyrocopter speed, useful load, and safety

Interesting opinions. We manufacture American Ranger (AR-1) gyroplane in Florida. In the past we have designed and manufactured trikes and airplanes for the LSA market. Lets start with safety. In theory there is no stall and hence no loss of control which is the biggest killer in airplane...

New LSA Amphib introduced at AirVenture

Stick with Searey for now. Its not vaporware. It flies very nicely given that its an amphibian aircraft. It is real with real deliveries. I know because I helped them get compliant, pass FAA audit and in 2013 setup the production line in Tavares under contract, all in less than 2 years of total...

Some Gyroplane pictures and info that we sell

    Florida Sunset pictures

I don't have GoPro footage from that machine and I suck on video editing. I have about 3652 hours on trikes and have transitioned or made about 53 pilots so far. Most airplane pilots who add-on a WSC category endorsement on their license. Here are some fellow trike pilots and their interesting...

    Florida Sunset pictures

Not at all. Just come in approach with a crab angle. Touch down on mains and keep flaring, keep the nose wheel off. The machines swings into the direction of travel and straightens out before front wheel touches down. Power on approach if the crosswind is gusty and above 10 knots.

Some Gyroplane pictures and info that we sell

AG-1 gyroplane fits well in the LSA 2 seat category. Top speed of around 105 knots, cruise speed of around 80 to 90 knots, minimum forward speed of 18 knots. 560 pounds of useful load. Cuts through moderate turbulence like butter. These pics were taken in Florida (Tampa area). Enjoy. This...

Thank you. We do trikes, gyroplanes as well as airplanes. Every aircraft has its pros and cons and own magic. Enjoy.

    Florida Sunset pictures

My friends captured these pics while I was flying a trike we make near Tampa (Gulf coast) in Florida. Enjoy the sunset views and fly safe.

SilverLight Aviation bringing back Apollo LSA

Yes for interested people we will supply amphibian floats. I am working on designing and load testing floats for Super Legend Cub. They should be done next month (ASTM water and ground loads compliance and First Article Inspection). I helped with certification of Legend Super Legend (cub) and I...

SilverLight Aviation bringing back Apollo LSA

Hi All, Just wanted to introduce SilverLight Aviation and the aircraft we have in the LSA category. We have trikes, gyroplanes as well as an LSA airplane. Apollo LSA is being brought back. There are 8 or so in the US and total of 86 flying around the world. It used to be with Apollo Aircraft...
