I've noticed that with mine too. I don't use it for anything but Garmin Pilot and a used to use a Dauntless app. It seemed like it used to go for a couple days before it was gone and now its about half that. I wonder if the latest version is any better.

I have flown into W91 a few times. I remember seeing some construction going on but never thought twice about it being a B&B. I hope to pay them a visit for a weekend sometime next year.

5NC3 is a fun place to drop into. If you are looking for BBQ a little closer to CLT, how about Lexington (KEXX). No fees at all and a couple of crew cars. Plenty of BBQ pits within 10 minutes of the field. Was there just last week actually, solely for some BBQ :)

I made KFFA my first cross country as a Private Pilot. It's about 1.5 hrs for me. I have since flown back twice. The winds can get to kicking pretty good out there. I have heard there is a good brewery about 1/2 mile from FFA. I have yet to spend the night and test the allegations though :P

I always enjoy flying at night. There is just some sort of calm that seems to come around. And the renters seem to stop scheduling after sunset too :)

I flew in there about 6 months ago from RDU as well. The restaurant wasn't anything special in my opinion. I have also heard the rumors of new ownership and a comeback though. MTV wasn't quite as far into the foothills as I expected it to be but still a nice area to flyover.
