It's amazing. A friend of mine with 4,000 hours in type was just saying, "I've gone 12 month landing this baby like a March snowflake, and now I can't put the ***** on the deck without breaking the squat switches. Did I land or were we shot down?"
Comes and goes. It comes and goes.

It may be an eye opener. But there's little doubt that you'll perform better than most of us who live and train below 5,000'.
As a side...
I've built several hangars, all on city owned land with a sq. ft. land lease. Questions I would want answered:
* Is an engineering report required?
* Is the dirt good or will dirt need to be replaced?
* Are there escalation clauses in the lease language for rent?
* Who pays the property...
