    Were all airliners that had unpainted metal back in the 50's and 60's anodized or was it bare aluminum?

    Spinner ID

    It looks really similar, but there seems to be a chine or something forward of the prop opening in the post pictures. Perhaps this is from a DC-7 but with props with de-ice boots?

    I have a spinner and would like to see if anyone might know what it came off of. It is approx 27" high x 21" I think it is from across the pond because what looks like a date, 22-10-67, is backward. At least I think it is a date, but it could be a part number. Anyone have any thoughts?
