    Ugly Airplanes

I've actually seen worse than that plaid. A Cherokee in our flight school was purchased by a person with excruciatingly bad taste. This person put black fuzzy seatcovers with dragons on the front seats, the back seat got a hideous shag seat cover with some cartoon on it, and to top it off...

    Diagnostic Dilemma

Have you been tested for other tick diseases besides Lyme? There's Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Ehrlichia, and another, I think it's bebesia, something like that. RMSF attacks the joints, like Lyme. Good luck, hope you find a diagnosis.

    Seawind, anyone know???

My Dad built one. He says it's squirrelly, not the easiest to fly. I've flown it a few times with him. It's fast. Visibility is great. But it takes getting used to since the engine is on top. My father knows a few people who have killed themselves in it, or crashed it, I think those were in...

    Fourth Lesson

My father has been a pilot for 50 years (Air Force, airline, now GA), and is now nearly deaf in one ear. He insisted I have an ANR headset to protect my hearing. A good headset is important.

Have you ever wanted to quit your training?

First post, here goes: I started taking flying lessons in 1988, age 17. I quit because the instructor I had at that time was a sexist *******. I was too young, and too insecure, and he made me miserable, it wasn't worth it to me. About ten years ago I thought about it again, but didn't...
