    Dollars to doughnuts......Lance it is!

My T tail turbo Lance has been phenomenal. Anything I can fit into it, it can handle! It is the first plane I owned so I can't compare to anything but a 172, but she sure is awesome!! Never have trouble getting off the ground. I haven't found the turbo that expensive but maybe I've been...

    Lobbying for SI reform

10 weeks after the FAA confirmed receipt of all of my paperwork for my two year SI renewal for taking an SSRI that I've been stable on for a decade, still no response. My AME, who has done this for years and been very successful at SIs, admits he is feeling "helpless". As a physician myself, I...

Where to put the oxygen cylinder?

Going to a conference for business. And can only afford 1 plane.:wink2:

Where to put the oxygen cylinder?

Thanks for the thoughts all. I'll be flying on my own so no worries about passengers. I asked for exactly the reason of wanting it all accessible to monitor. As per the original post the center console is long gone. There is a replacement for $925 but I thought I'd look at other options too.

Where to put the oxygen cylinder?

I'm thinking of trying oxygen for an upcoming trip from PA to FL. My Piper Lance's center console was long gone before I bought the plane. For folks who use portable oxygen, where do you keep the oxygen cylinder so it doesn't become a portable missile in the cockpit but you can still access...

Dreaming to find a plane for these parameters

Thanks Ron, you're quick, and I love the idea. So the published runway specs on the PC12 are 2650 ft with 50 ft obstacle. Is 1800 ft without obstacle enough (I couldn't find a published no obstacle number)? Do you (or anyone else) know folks who feel comfortable operating on an 1800 ft field...

Dreaming to find a plane for these parameters

Would like input on finding a plane to meet these parameters: At least 4 seats Part 23 certified (not a kit) Still in production new (but no STC required) At least 190 knots cruise Takeoff and land on 1800 foot runway, no obstacles on either end Can be a piston or tubine, single or...

Piper Turbo Lance, Turbo Arrow, Cherokee-6 & C182

The T tail is no big deal on takeoff or landing. I can only compare it to the C172 I learned on first, but the major difference is that the Lance is more powerful and much heavier. Once you learn how it handles, no big deal. Again, not much to compare to, but I like having the turbo even...

    Airtex wowed me!

3 1/2 weeks. Probably would have taken 3 but there were some power issues at facility due to weather.
