Re: Nevermind, she's hot.

Was there an original question with photos in this thread? Because I'm not able to see them...

The CFI's skills are no longer being called into question because the OP met her and she is smokin' hot - gets a pass

So, you walk into a flight school and see option 1 and 2. Who are you going to fly with?

Option 1

Option 2

I want option #3... That's the one with LOW wing aircraft used in training..:D:wink2::rofl:

Interesting phenomenon at work here....

Could it be that the attractive folks get a pass where greater scrutiny would be applied to more "ordinary" folks?

I'm trying to think of how this ties in with the "men are morons" thread. :D :D :D

Of course I've never failed a test in my life, was always given perfect grades, always selected to be lead, never had to answer difficult questions...

Hmmm.. what conclusion should I draw?

Maybe you know all the right people to bribe? ;)

That's not a question. That's absolute fact. But I don't mind, it just means ugly folks like me REALLY earn our accomplishments. ;)

...as long as they weigh less than 200 lbs and can fly when temps are below 60 F, yes.

:wink2:

What's your usable load? Sounds almost as bad as the Luscombe at 420 lbs. I'm 210, the owner is 210. We went for a ride but had to leave the gas at home

In a 1940 Aeronca Chief with (maybe) 65 HP useful load is 360 lbs.

And you have to fit fuel in that number? Wow, and here I thought it would be better than the 65-horse 8A.

Called a new airport for a checkout in their 172. Lady said I had the choice of flying with Wayne or Heidi. I choose Heidi. :)

Perhaps he flies with one of those instructors that lets you make mistakes so you can learn from them, I know some instructors who do that. I think this mentality is less safe (for obvious reasons) but makes the student more experienced. I'm not sure whether this is a good policy or not, I certainly preferred it when I was going thought my training but everyone is different.

Also perhaps he is not going to solo on tuesday. Quite possible that it's just the plan and it might not happen. If the instructor says that the student is going to solo on the next flight it means that the student still needs to improve on a few things, so chances are that the student will not solo on the next flight.
Unless the mistake is going to kill me or bend some metal, I let it happen. My Instructors mostly did the same for me in the past. I once allowed an incipient spin to be entered by accident in a 150 (power on stall practice, so plenty of altitude to play with) on a flight review for a friend of mine. Of course, on the same flight, he tried to raise the flaps before adding power on a go around and I certaintly wasn't going to have that

So I went into the flight school today. It is at BAZ and I was out getting the oil off the belly of the plane and I went in to get a drink out of the vending machine. I walked in and there was this really cute girl sitting in the corner and my friend John was behind the counter and we started to chat. I mentioned that Matthews birthday was coming up and he was going to try to solo on that day, and the cute girl in the corner piped up "Matthew is one of my students." My jaw dropped. All I knew was that his instructor was a girl, I didn't know she was a hot one! Of course I was covered head to toe in oil and looked about as terrible as possible. I wouldn't care is she was a **** poor CFI, as long as I got to fly with her!
You never know, alot of chicks dig a hard working guy:wink2:

They managed to fly today when it cleared for a little bit. Apparently she told him that he would have gotten soloed today if he was old enough - hoping the weather is going to be good. Gonna go support my friend and flirt with the mega-hot CFI.

Wonder if she's reading this....

Your friend's watch isn't quite big enough for piloting.

The important part is that they are standing far enough apart that he can edit his friend out of the picture. :D

You're not getting anywhere with that attitude!

Congrats to your friend.

Yeah well she has a boyfriend who flies C21s in the AF. I don't think I can compete with that.

Are you kidding? If she's dating some AF guy then the guy who spins the Quizno sign on the street corner has a shot.

They had to go completely through the 500 girls out of 5,000 students and instructors to get those 4.
