I have been using Foreflight for several years now and I have not had any problems. Sometime after the iOS 10.3.3 and Foreflight 9.2.1 updates, I cannot download anything from my home. On the airports page, I don't get any weather information, on the images page, I can't view any weather graphics and I can't download any charts, plates, etc.

I am able to connect on other WiFi networks and everything works fine. I have 2 iPads and an iPhone and all exhibit the same problem. I have rebooted everything, installed a new router and contacted my ISP. The ISP said they shouldn't be blocking anything but needed more information about how Foreflight downloads this data.

I have been waiting on Foreflight for a week now and I am getting a little frustrated with their support.

Any ideas?

Did you email ForeFlight? Their customer service is excellent and they will get back to you quickly, at least that's been my experience.

FYI, I just updated the next data block for September and it went smooth, no issues. My data is for a Garmin 530 W card.

I did email Foreflight support a week ago. They responded a couple days later saying to restart the iPad which I did. They escalated the case last Thursday but I have not heard anything since.

I brought my iPads to work and all downloads went fine. I can't figure out what is wrong at home.

If your home router doesn't do any filtering, than most likely the public IP address of your home network is blacklisted. You probably have a DHCP assigned address from your ISP versus static, so when it changes it'll probably just start working.

My home router is not doing any filtering and I checked a couple of blacklist sites using the IP address of my cable modem. It doesn't appear to be blacklisted.

Try a complete power down and back up of router.... whenever I have download issues such as you're describing, that often helps.

I've done that several times with no change.

I did call my ISP last night and they told me they were going to "try something" and to wait about 15 minutes and try Foreflight again. It did end up working but quit again this morning. I'm going to have to call them back and find out what they are doing. It appears that this is an issue with my ISP but I'm not sure what.

I agree it is probably your ISP. I recently had a situation where some devices could connect to the internet and other couldn't. Also, some web pages were inaccessible, not just me, but also by neighbors.

My ISP is listed amoung those that engage in "DNS hijacking": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNS_hijacking so maybe they did get something fouled up in their black listing or censorship.

I ended up putting static DNS addresses in my router that point to OpenDNS servers. That seemed to solve the problem and Foreflight has been working fine for 2 days now.
