How to protect your cert. CYA. Damn the Man! Some great advice here.

How do you come up with this stuff? That was great!

Thats got to be the funniest thing Ive ever seen on POA.

On a more serious note, Ive often wondered if those NASA reports come back to the ATC entity involved.

So, Bryan, with all the spring storms firing up around you and I, when are you going to get the green screen going and offer us a satirical Storm Watch breaking news report complete with a "severe tomato warning"?

Since I don't fly a Cirrus, what should I put for "reporter"? I was thinking "Check air, man" but what what if the form is handled by a woman?

I think I'm just going to start yelling, "Damn it, Carl!" over the radio whenever I screw up.
I blame a nonexistent person.

"Hey tower... I'm going to need to return to land..."

"Cleared to land... Is everything okay?"

"Affirmative... SOMEONE forgot to latch my door."

Boom. Now they'll never know it was me.

This may or may not reflect an actual conversation. I had.

ANOTHER HOME RUN FROM 6PC!!!!!!

I think this process should be introduced into every pilot course syllabus IMMEDIATELY!

Cheers

This video helped bring new meaning to the DB Cooper case.

Until now, I just thought of it as a fascinating unsolved crime.

But now I see that it also has an enduring significance as an example. In particular, it is a top-value strawman. No matter how bad we might be at Aeronautical Decision Making, we could always make an even worse decision, and choose the DB Cooper option.

That makes me feel better already, thinking about the next time that I will screw up.

There's the DB Cooper option and then there's the Marcus Schrenker option. I think you're referring to the Marcus Schrenker option.

Both equally bad options but still options none the less. And to your credit the graphic I used does lean a bit more towards the marcus side. Nice catch.

Gotta love that cockpit environment:

- Beer, check!
- Smoldering cigarette? check!
- Low fuel, check!
- Master caution, Lol.

Dangit, now you tell me? I should have use the magic "someone" word last time I had to return to latch my door. Dangit.
Oh well, next time I'll know.
Not that it happened to me. I cannot admit that. Never.
Wait... Someone forgot to latch your door too?! Methinks there is nefarious activity afoot!
