Super Bowl who cares

I could understand the excitement etc it if it was something that happened every 4 years, but every year, come on !!!

Park your plane outside the tfr for a week and drive to it

The only exciting thing will be the Thunderbird fly over.

Well I rent. I could drive to Tucson 1 1/2 away and rent there.

That and a new checkout probably ain't worth it. Try and not consume any media for the next week, you'll be happier if you can avoid it.

Super bowl who cares. I'm going flying instead. I think it is in my home state. :rolleyes2: wait I'm grounded because of this TFR thingy for 4 days.

Sorry for the TFR, at least it's only several hours and not several days like when Obummer vacations at our expense.

But the last time I checked, somewhere around 2 billion people on the planet care about the game. My interest is only mildly piqued by this year's match, but my wife us excited about the commercials.

I'm not flying anyway, the plane's in annual and the shop is closed this weekend (worked there all day last Sat, and have a slot arranged next Sat putting her back together).

Who cares? more fans than all other US sports put together.

We've been to several Super Bowls, it's a great experience, watching it on TV is OK. If I had something better to do Sunday night, I'd probably skip it, but the wife is going to be out of town, so I'll probably waste a coup,e hours and watch the first half. I'll record the second half and watch it when I wake up and can't sleep at 4 AM.:D

I don't watch football to begin with so why would I watch the Stupid Bowl and pretend to care now?
They're a bunch of over paid, over rated, over hyped prima-donnas.
I was down in DVT and I'm glad we left on Tuesday before all the arrivals and the FAA reservation system starting today.

Super Bowl...is that some kind of new flush toilet that works better than the 1.6L green things they pushed on us a few years ago?

There's probably a good deflated balls joke in here somewhere, but I just don't want to work any harder to get it out.

So, no I don't care. Unless its the new toilet...

I had invites to many of the private activities this week/weekend, however work has me stuck in Page until Saturday evening. I'm going to miss the WM phx open for the fist time in years.

We'll probably watch it.

Having cut the cord, it will be our first and only NFL game of the season.

I guess we watch it as a cultural phenomenon, especially since we have no particular "stake" in either team.

Commercials

puppy bowl for the football challenged

let's see, is there any other "bowl" going on.... hmmmmm.

I don't care about the game. Will catch the commercials the next day online.

David

I've passed through the room during the game, but can honestly say I've never watched a super bowl game in my entire life.

After last years super bowl I stopped watching football. They just are not as good of actors as the WWE.

Well, it's quite easy to tell who got beat up in school by reading this thread.

I love college bowl games, even the ones where a 5-6 team plays a 6-5 team) but never get too worked up about the super bowl, because of the hype, and hypocrisy of the league. Illst interest when they started to control every article of clothing, shoes (even when players commented on how uncomfortable the sponsored shoe was), insane hype, and the thousands of permanently damaged former players who discovered the league that sent them out to destroy each other, refused their medical expense afterwards.

Most of them are available to watch now. You don't even have anything to look forward to now.

It's also quite easy to see who got "Gentleman's C's" in school.

Oh cry me a river. These guys make friggin' millions, if they don't have enough sense to put back a few bucks for later in life it's not anyone's problem but theirs.

Oh Man!

I am not a big football fan. I probably watch 4-5 games a year.
But I always watch the superbowl. All the family go over to my parents, we eat hot wings and stuff dipped in queso, laugh at the commercials and if it is a close game, it is easy to get sucked in.

This year I am looking forward to a choir of "Booooo" as the Pats take the field.

I like it. Always have.

Yeah, I'll watch it if I get home in time. Good excuse to drink beer and eat crap that's bad for me.

I love football, but I can't stand either team in this year's SB. I normally root for someone but this year I'm hoping that both teams find a way to lose.

Praying for good flying weather on Sunday!

Not everyone can have the broncos or packers to root for....

:D

Jealousy over other people's Wealth is a growing problem in America.

Are you sure you're grounded? Technically you only have to be ok with ATC. Not all TFRs are equally prohibitive.

Can't wait, going flying in the morning, then to a tailgate cookout party, then watch the game with forty friends, and adult beverages. All in the warm state of FLA.

I'm not jealous of their wealth, they earn it by getting beat up. But I don't see why the NFL or anyone else has to bail them out after they fritter away their millions.

My mother-in-law is a rabid Seahawks fan, so I'm one by extension. Otherwise I wouldn't care too much. During the SEA-GB game, my wife told me that if the Seahawks lose, we're going to Disney World on Super Bowl Sunday. Apparently it's the slowest day of the year at Disney.

Forecast for Sunday in my neighborhood is for sunny and 71 degrees. Why on earth would I sit inside on a gorgeous weekend afternoon? I pay dearly for that forecast.

I wouldn't count on that. There's a lot of people who aren't interested in football that have the same idea. I went to Disneyland on New Years day once thinking it would be slow. Nope.
