Need a Factory New Continental O-470 Cylinder

Hello all,

Where is the best place to get a factory new Continental cylinder? Specifically, I need a new cylinder for an O-470R. After a quick Google search, I saw that Air Power has kits (cylinder, rings, valves, piston) ranging from $1800-$2100. Is that a good price? Who else should I consider using for a factory new cylinder kit?

I don't think superior sells genuine continental cylinders, but their replacements are pretty good.

J&J Airparts is a good source as well. No idea if they have any. Superior makes a PMA’d cylinder as noted above.

These days it is more of a matter of can you get one in a reasonable time frame, versus which one it to get.

Why do you need a new cylinder?
