How do I find a pilot?

I would get something faster than a 172 for travelling. Jeez. Droning along hour after hour to go 50 miles.......

:D

Sorry. Not interested. I'm not a pilot, I'm an
<look of eagles>AVIATOR</look of eagles>.

It takes you hours to go 50 miles?

Most 172s will take ~30 minutes wheels up to wheels down over simple terrain. Maybe an hour if there are mountains or busy airspace involved.

Does no one use climbto350.com anymore? It's a great place to have about 300,000 qualified, starving commercial pilots beat down your door each hour. Or it used to be a few years ago....(I believe it still is.)

The type club if it exists is where the owners are. Get another owner to teach you how to fly it.

Heard the one about the guy that had an experimental for sale. So someone comes to look at it and asks "How does it fly?" "Go ahead and try it" you say. Guy comes back and says "I took off and it didnt feel right so I set it back down? Does it usually do that?"

"I dunno" is the reply "No one else have ever flown it"
