Touchdown! Greaser!
Since all of the following is True, there is no risk of libel.
I reserved a car at Signature PWK for Thanksgiving day, 2012, no VISA required. I never made it as my transponder failed. So we drove to Thanksgiving dinner. Last week I get a collection call, not even identifying the company nor the creditor.
Turns out a guy named NATE at Signature PWK decided, Monday after Thanksgiving, that I had taken the rental, and not signed a contract. Without any info. they put me into collection. THANK YOU, Nate.....not.
I finally tracked this down and the desk clerks at Signature realized my tail # had never arrived. A Mr. Tom Bez at Enterprise regional apologized for the inconvenience but never admitted sloppy business. They never asked the desk, never checked mileage (no change), or fuel. They just sent me into collection. They got the information from the Signature, computer, however, on my Signature account.
Well after much effort, I got a fax from Enterprise that says, well it's attached.
So now 2 full business days after that, I finally got an acknolwedgement from the collection agency (Caine & Weiner). That is after many many phone calls unanswered to the agency, and now a call to Mr. Bez, requesting that he call his credit bureau and get them to freaking "CALL ME BACK".
I advise all airmen to just not go near Enterprise of N. Illinois. This was a lot of energy for $63.00 and the upshot is, "Call Signature...get put into collection". I'm looking askance at Signature, too. It'll be a long time before I go there again. UGN for me.
Sigh. They may talk the talk, but there is no service culture there. When I mess up, it's "I will make every attempt to make this right and keep you apprised of my efforts and progress". NOT this organization, however.....
