Hello all I have a 78 172nwith the super hawk conversion having a problem with a battery box fitting right under the mag has anyone found a battery box that will clear this

I worked on a N 172 with a great plains 0-360 in it. I had to remove the mag to remove the battery cover and definitely to remove the battery. It was a PIA. I tried removing the cap/leads first and that was not enough. That part sucks about the upgraded powerplant.
I am pretty sure the battery would have to be moved. I don't know any anything about the super hawk conversion? Call Penn Yan I would call them as they would know.

The one I worked on the battery box was not modified or was the battery. Both of yours are modified. Is that legal? Is that part of the STC?
