For me it was a fuel pump. Automotive fuel pump is the exact same as the aviation one, just without the sticker. Same brand/manufacturer, same components, etc. The auto version was $50, the aviation one was $250.

Sorry, I'm out on the light. Wrong size for the base and my mechanic said he's not too sure if the base can be taken off legally to make it fit. His recommendation is, since my current old school light is working, don't fix what ain't broke and upgrade to LED when or if the beacon goes out.
