**Look at post #14 for details on the XRX**

For sale is a Zaon PCAS MRX in working condition. Used to be powered from a USB port on the aircraft, but will take 2 AA batteries. Battery door latch was broken so I 3D printed a new one, will include the original as well.

Comes with its antenna (and the USB power cable if I can get it out from the aircraft easily). It's a USB to 2.5x0.7mm barrel jack cable, available on ebay.

This is not the model with audio out.

Menu button cap was broken when I bought it, but it works fine without, as you can see from the pictures where I navigate part of the menu.

Asking 180$ USD OBO 80$ USD

Shipping from Montreal, Canada. Shipping at buyer's expense. Paypal only (I cover the 3% fee).

Thank you

When you consider a Stratux is less than $150 and the software is supported and upgraded often, not sure how useful the zaon is these days. Unless, of course, you don't have an iPad or iPhone.

This says collision avoidance, is it any different than adsb?

Yes. This unit is not ADS-B in, it actually detects mode C transponder signals to give a range and the altitude difference to the target.

Where did you see a Stratux for $150? Cheapest I found is $285. I have a question: If one has ADSB in via Stratux for example, does it also pick up traffic from airplanes that just have a mode c transponder without ADSB out? Not many Canadian small aircraft have ADSB out as it’s not yet mandatory here.

@OP, please let me know if the sale to Ryan falls through for whatever reason. I’m second in line. Also based in Canada by the way.

And no, the stratux doesn’t show mode c targets, at least not in Canada.

I could be wrong but my understanding is the Mode C does show up on the Stratux. I know my biplane with the transponder on shows up on iPads hooked to Statux or any of several other systems that also pick up the weather. Another words if your getting weather your getting the Mode C aircraft too, just with no identifier.

You are if an aircraft in your vicinity has ADS-B out. Very common in the states, less so in Canada right now.

Zaon XRX details:

Pictures: Manual: https://www.aero-hesbaye.eu/dossiers/zAON/XRX Manual 2.0.pdf

The unit comes with its original power cable. It's basically a cigarette lighter (housing is cracked as seen in photos, but works fine), a tiny barrel jack, and all that went to a multi pin connector intended to connect to a GPS, I suppose. The power connector itself can be cut from the cable if desired, or a new 2.35mm mini barrel jack can be purchased to make a custom power cable. It will take anything from 10v to 48v. All these info are in the manual.

It also has 1/8 audio jacks in/out (headset passthrough, if needed) to get audible alerts.

It has a DB9 connector (pictured), to connect via RS232 to gps such as garmin 396/496 if desired. I do not know the pinout, however, but there are some short wires already soldered and it should be relatively easy to find which is which.

You can of course simply connect the power to the unit and use it as is if you want the simplest install. It might not be the prettiest and neatest solution, but it's plug and play with the provided cables.

230$ USD 140$ USD. PM me to discuss.

Open to offers on both units. Will be at Airventure and can bring them.

Thanks. How is it’s condition? Price ask?
