yet another engine

They built a really tiny and lightweight rotary engine, then compared it to a 4-stroke Briggs & Stratton for weight, not exactly a good comparison since you'd never use that Briggs engine in an aircraft. The 55cc 2-stroke engine in my chainsaw makes 3.5 HP on a similar weight (and is also close to the size of an iPhone). It's probably just not quite as efficient.

Spark ignition heavy fuel is also nothing particularly new and is doable, it just has its limitations. Basically it's a compromise that can be performed for applications that want a single fuel.

So, nothing revolutionary, but I always like seeing new engine designs.
