Yeah, I'm definitely a low wing guy.

I'm a pretty average pilot in my local area but compared to you guys down south I'm 100% STOL. I have no use for a low wing airplane. High wing taildraggers dominate my world.

Also, low-wing tailwheel planes look silly (if built after WWII) :)

Guess we will have to disagree... :)

I've owned high wing, low wing and biplanes. I like them all...with tailwheels.

Low Wing planes are sexier. Enough said.

That's why I'm interested in Commanders. Two doors!
One of the things I liked about the Duchess over the Baron. I could load all the passengers and close the co-pilot door from the outside and then walk around and get in my own door.

But....the Baron goes a heck of a lot faster while carrying a much bigger load.

It's also far better looking! I appreciate the Duchess for popping my multi cherry, but it's not a pretty plane. :)

Neither. Let's just say you haven't flown until you sit in front of the wing. :D;)

Not too many low wing planes with bush wheels landing short on gravel bars... Airliners have low wings these days, and nose gear. I guess if you have miles of runway and you're in a hurry all the time then a sit-on-top makes sense. :)
