Line Up and Wait
Another beautiful day....
71D is in MX mode today and tomorrow for her 100hr check..So far looks good. No metal in the oil, plugs were good, compression was above 77 in all 4 cylinders, and she was pretty tight. A few minor things, but should be back in service by Wednesday.
So, I flew a different airplane for the X-C: Flew POU-BGM-SWF-POU just over 200 miles round-trip. Had a great time flying..although it was kinda bumpy flying over the terrain just south of the Catskills earlier in the afternoon. Flight plan was close, the checkpoints and landmarks were easier to see today because it was crystal clear, and the winds did not pick up at all in the later part of the day.
All in all, an excellent lesson. One more solo X-C to go!
