As it says. I'm looking for a decent desktop set up such as Saitek. I want a good IFR practice machine. Dont really need the computer. I would like the yoke and radio set up. Thanks

Mike

I have an Elite Cirrus II (Precision Flight Controls) panel plus rudder pedals I'm planning to sell shortly. No radio console but you can operate the radios with a mouse or get a new or used AP2000, 3000, or 4000 to go with the console.

Looks a lot like the one in this picture except the yoke says PCATD instead of Elite and there are two keyswitches for starting. I also have an older version of Elite software that goes with it.

Any chance it's a certified/approved sim?

Pretty sure it can be made to be "certified/approved" by adding the avionics stack. For sure you have to set it up without the mouse to be approved. Also not sure what software packages are approved. My flying club has this exact unit with avionics tower and the "On Top" software package from ASA and ours is FAA approved. I've logged time in it. Also you have to be under the supervision of a CFI for it to count.

Yes it can be certified but requires an "avionics stack". The least expensive would be a AP-2000 (switches but no displays) and they can be found on the used market for $500-800.

If you are still in the market I have a full set up I am looking to get rid of.

Thanks Shawn I had just made a purchase a few weeks ago. Bought the Saitek yoke and throttle. Also picking up the Elite 8.6 Premium software. It's working well.
