Yesterday we attended the revived Pittsburgh Air Show hosted by the 911th Air Wing at KPIT.
Great weather (75F, sunny, with winds up to 9 knots) and Sean Tucker, Manfred Radius, Army Golden Knights, and more helped make it a great revival (the show was canceled last year for "funding" reasons).
There was a B-2 flyover (very ominous) and plenty of people, expensive food, static displays, and burnt kerosene.
Lots of folks in uniform, lots of AMVETS and VFW hats, lots of families with kids, and plenty of old guys looking over the C-54, C-47, and L-3 displays.
Overall, a job well done, and a great way to remember September 11th and all that's happened since.
NOTE: The web site is hideous (www.wingsoverpittsburgh.com). If I had time I'd volunteer or volunteer someone to do it right next year.
