Margaritas on Saturday night. Enough said.
Not this year, but I will make it soon
Though the Mooney has returned to my rabid clutches I will be out of the country for this event. I hope it is a smashing gala in my absence.
Kent there actually will be kids activities this year and can jam and corn hole for growed up folks like your wife.
Yes but your kids cannot yet be your designated driver!
John looking forward to seeing you!
You know Adam, for folks who aren't from the Midwest, you might want to link to something that explains what Corn Hole is. Saying you've prepared that for someone's wife ... hahaha. Yikes!
(Yeah I know what it is. I'm just sitting here laughing my butt off. Kinda like the time a wise person told me not to ever call my wife "Mrs. DP" ever again, and referred me to the Urban Dictionary...)
Yikes, will have to remember that one. When I was growing up, "DPs" were "displaced persons" from eastern Europe after WW2. That's literally how they were referred to. I haven't heard that usage for many years though.
She's got something else going on that weekend, so if any of us show up, it'll just be me solo this time. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm going to have to rebuild my mower deck instead. But, hopefully we can make it next year.

A Week away!
Yeah. I've only gotten over one of the hurdles ahead of me, the BasicMed process. My plane is still in annual (I'm going to check on it at the FBO tomorrow), but even once it's signed off, I still need 5 hours of dual before I can fly anywhere solo. So I think I'm officially out for this year. If anything changes unexpectedly (VERY unlikely given how quickly it would have to happen), I'll post again.
Dang I'm out;-(
Chiller is down on farm and business is starting boom on the week ends. Someday.
And ... I'm out. Had a professional development opportunity spring up that I just won't refuse.
Thank you, Adam. I'll missing you and and all the rest of y'alls.
Mary and I have my brother and his wife coming in Thursday evening for a show here in OC. Friday and Saturday antique shopping, so we're out.
I'm still in and looking forward to it. We'll drive up Friday, be at the usual Friday events, and leave Sunday.
Bummer but I hope the opporunity works out for you.
I knew we should have made you come up and pick up the power tow. Everyone will miss Mary..........you not so much.
Aaaaand for those of you coming or not coming you can still participate in the Headset and Oil change raffle here https://www.pilotsofamerica.com/community/threads/headset-oil-change-raffle.103335/
Well we're still in at this point, even though Leslie started a new job this morning.
Congrats in order, I hope?
Yes. More so because she already negotiated time off for Wings, OSH, 6Y9, and her 99s meetings!
Always knew Leslie had her priorities in order
Congrats to Leslie!
Hi Adam - Count Me and Mimi in for Saturday night at Tamarindos. I will make it solo to the afternoon BBQ
Rob - 215-327-9371
Look forward to it Rob!
I'll be at the bbq! If anyone needs a break from the sun feel free to use our Redbird sim or check out the rv12 project that is near completion.
Had a great time at the "coolest" BBQ yet. And it was so kid friendly we had almost half a kid's soccer team show up! Enjoyed Bob's gorgeous 195 and Mike's pretty 170. Porky's Q was divine and shows the care he puts into it!
And I realized that I neglected to post Friday evening after a wonderful get-together at Adam's where he provided his delectable cheesesteaks. Great thanks to @AdamZ for putting this all together for so many years.
Thanks for a great time, as always, A1!
The pulled pork was exceptional, Andrew!
Thanks, Grant and Leslie for driving our butts around!
I sure wish I'd been there! Missed you all. Next year, when @SCCutler finally makes it.
Sorry I missed Saturday. Spending most of the day in a small meeting room in the Allentown Renaissance Hotel, well, it was just too good an opportunity to pass up!
I write this from an aviation-themed hotel in Guatemala City. Wish I was flying home in the Mooney from Wings. Glad to hear it went well. Hopefully next year.
Glad to hear y'all had fun! Wish I could have made it, but getting back into PIC mode is taking a little time. Will try for next year...
Great to see everyone. Adam, Andrew - thanks for putting up with all of us. It was fun as usual!
Not one picture?
One of the conversations on Friday night covered the "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." I'll let you draw your own conclusions. ;^}
