Though the Mooney has returned to my rabid clutches I will be out of the country for this event. I hope it is a smashing gala in my absence.

You know Adam, for folks who aren't from the Midwest, you might want to link to something that explains what Corn Hole is. Saying you've prepared that for someone's wife ... hahaha. Yikes!

(Yeah I know what it is. I'm just sitting here laughing my butt off. Kinda like the time a wise person told me not to ever call my wife "Mrs. DP" ever again, and referred me to the Urban Dictionary...)

Yikes, will have to remember that one. When I was growing up, "DPs" were "displaced persons" from eastern Europe after WW2. That's literally how they were referred to. I haven't heard that usage for many years though.

She's got something else going on that weekend, so if any of us show up, it'll just be me solo this time. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm going to have to rebuild my mower deck instead. :( But, hopefully we can make it next year.

Yeah. I've only gotten over one of the hurdles ahead of me, the BasicMed process. My plane is still in annual (I'm going to check on it at the FBO tomorrow), but even once it's signed off, I still need 5 hours of dual before I can fly anywhere solo. So I think I'm officially out for this year. If anything changes unexpectedly (VERY unlikely given how quickly it would have to happen), I'll post again. :(

Yes. More so because she already negotiated time off for Wings, OSH, 6Y9, and her 99s meetings!

Had a great time at the "coolest" BBQ yet. And it was so kid friendly we had almost half a kid's soccer team show up! Enjoyed Bob's gorgeous 195 and Mike's pretty 170. Porky's Q was divine and shows the care he puts into it!

And I realized that I neglected to post Friday evening after a wonderful get-together at Adam's where he provided his delectable cheesesteaks. Great thanks to @AdamZ for putting this all together for so many years.

Sorry I missed Saturday. Spending most of the day in a small meeting room in the Allentown Renaissance Hotel, well, it was just too good an opportunity to pass up!

I write this from an aviation-themed hotel in Guatemala City. Wish I was flying home in the Mooney from Wings. Glad to hear it went well. Hopefully next year.
