Wichita Kansas airports and GA

I am flying up to Wichita this Saturday and would like some advise on which airport is the most GA friendly. I currently have to abide by VFR rules. I will be flying a 172 skyhawk. Any information will be greatly appreciated. My plan at this point is KAAO as my destination.

KAAO works for me. That area is fairly busy so I would use ATC coming in. I've overflown the area many times. McConnel AFB is just south of there. Keep an eye out for military stuff. . Just kidding, you'll be fine.

yea my club flies out of AAO and it is a good option. Although if ICT is closer to your destination I would use it. They handle a lot of GA traffic there and are really nice. Either way I agree, you should get flight following on your way in. The east side of town gets pretty congested. Be careful not to confuse Beech Field for Jabara.
