Where to fly in Ireland?

I plan to be in Ireland for a few weeks on a vacation road trip in May and would like to do some local area flying with an instructor. Any recommendations on flying clubs?

If you are, there is the Ulster flying club (EGAD) about 10 miles east of Belfast, learned to fly there in the 90's - nice scenery in the area, just google my username

Thanks Scrabo. (interesting tower) My plan is to fly to Dublin, have a drink , rent a car, and start driving with my camera bag by my side. I'll send you a photo of the tower if I get there.

My wife and I had a 10 day vacation in Ireland in Sept 2011. Started in Dublin then drove CW around to Galway stopping each night along the way. I can't help with the flying part, but I can tell you about our itinerary if you are interested.

BE76 Duchess €485.00 per hour

Landings here at Weston are €6.00 per single engine and €10.00per multi-engine. Landings at Regional airports vary from €20.00 to €25.00.

The amphib is €285.00 too

Heh, check out Russia. $800/hr in 172. Bribes are just like tax burden on economy and could be worse.

P.S. Mark, could you update the thread when you're done? Last time I was in Dublin, I only found 1 glider club that welcomed outsiders, but they only flew on Sundays.
