I need to purchase some placards (stickers) for a C-172N and was curious where you folks buy them? Do any of you make them your selves? If so what do you use?

Thanks,

Its a local pilot shop here in Albuquerque. I know they have them because I bought some to put in my truck (I'm a dork).

A lot of folks make their own, either with something like an office label maker (Brother P-Touch etc) or by laser printing on tranparencies.

Wag Aero, Aircraft Spruce and Specialty, and Chief Aircraft are all good sources for various decals/placards.

On a former truck I stenciled small black silhouettes of little dogs, old ladies, mothers with small children on the side of the pilot's, er, driver's door. Most people thought it was a riot.
