In the new aerial maps that you can view online now, like Windows Local Live, and Google Maps, etc., you get amazing details of streets and houses. You can even see your car parked in your driveway, and traffic on your street.

But where are the people? I can only assume that they've somehow managed to erase every human from every image. I even zoomed in on Manhattan, and sure enough, lots of traffic--no people. Is it a privacy thing? Was it all agreed upon while the technology was being perfected?

Look again. I asked for "New York, NY" from Google Maps and then zoomed in all the way. There are people all over the sidewalks. Since you're looking at them from the top down all you see is a dot with a small shadow.

Regards,
Joe

Zoom in on Yankee Stadium, you'll see LOTS of people. You can even see a few players standing on the field.
