We are busy widening our 3660' runway to 60'. Also, a new 1600' turf runway is being built for the UL/Sport pilot group.

Soon there will be a new National Park right down the road. And the PUD just opened the best boat launch in the country, right next to the runway.

The Desert Aire Airport is in Central Washington, on Priest Rapids Lake....of the Columbia River. The Columbia River is the world's largest sand producing river. When you bask on Waikiki Beach, it is on sand barged from the Columbia.

Aviation is alive, at least here in the desert.
