What should I know before I bid on this?

I'm trying to find a reasonably priced 1946 auto to go with my 1946 aircraft. So far the only thing American that approaches plentiful are Ford's. Good as hot rods I guess but it's like cubs and such, everyone has one. Also Jeeps can occasionally be found . Not surprising, after the war auto production did not begin in full until the '47 model year. Still I'd like to find something a bit more consistent with the Luscombe sportiness. In '46 Europe and Asia were still a disaster areas.

I'm asking about that era Jeep issues to look for. Things a modestly savvy auto buyer might not know.

I'm no expert on the matter, but I suspect it will be difficult to find one that is very original, and if you do, it will be at a premium.

Also note that it's a CJ, not a military Jeep if that makes a difference to you.

Thanks. Looking to park my '46 car next to my '46 airplane. The airplane ain't truly original so the car need not be. Not many '46s of anything made as noted above. Probably not gonna happen.

TC/TD/TF have all suddenly gotten expensive but that was my first thought. Also concerned about putting a car with a wood chassis next to an all metal airplane .
