What Neil and Buzz were really up to

Against my better judgement, I found the second of the Transformers movies quite enjoyable. I couldn't tell what was going on in most of the fight scenes, and really didn't understand why a 10,000 year old robot would take revenge on an aircraft carrier, but it was cool nonetheless.

The first, in contrast, was nearly unwatchable.
