The West Michigan Flying Club, based in Muskegon, Michigan (KMKG), will be offering an accelerated CFI program starting Friday, April 29. Sign up before April 18, so materials can be purchased for each person. You can check out the flying club at www.wmflyingclub.org

For additional details, please message me here. Thanks!

Don’t need CFI training, but man is that a great looking, affordable club.

Man if I had my IR and commercial I’d sign up! Very much want my cfi and I’m just at 6d6 so pretty close by. But gotta knock out a couple other ratings first.

hoping to start soon, I have to sell my Cessna 150 first, just waiting for a registration issue to be settled- almost there, FAA actually been very helpful. That’ll provide me the funding without dipping into savings to do so.

how often do you offer these?

Yes, it’s a great, affordable club, right next to Lake Michigan, so we have some of the best flying ever in the summer.

We usually offer the CFI program every other year. Thanks for your interest, and have fun with the ratings.

How often do you run this? I'd come from Nevada to do this (my wife has family near KPTK to visit afterwards). We'd bring our Piper Dakota, but I have a commitment with our local pilot group on May 14th. I have both FOI and FIA tests passed (and AGI too) and am working on lesson plans. I just can't see a way to be there in late April, but how long is the course?

Edit: Looks like only every other year. :(

Move it to May 20th, and I could be there. Hahaha

Thanks for your interest. Yes, it is usually every other year. After feedback from others, the start date has been moved to around May 2nd. We will have firm dates set within the next week. The course is 10 days long. We have a couple of days off throughout the program for homework and catch up though, so you would need to be in the area for around 14 days. If you would like to be added to the email list for info including details, cost, and final dates, please message me. It would be great if you could join us. Thanks.
