This beloved aircraft was accidentally destroyed by an avionics shop at TVC in 2015 while getting ADS-B installed. It had a total makeover just before a mechanic started the engine and the johnson bar gear unlatched. The aircraft wreckage remained parked outside at TVC for several years. During wind storms it took flight more than once without a pilot. Another owner bought the wreckage and repaired all the main wing spar and elevator. Last we knew he intended to use the aircraft in Flordia without repairing the structural damage.
