Very lucky. Article says it was a Beech 18.
 
And a witness said, "I was in the right hand lane. I saw the plane, a little executive jet . . ."

It's very sobering, stunning, and gut-wrenching to see him sitting there in the pilot's seat with the rest of the plane gone.
 
Dude should play the lottery and then go to his place of worship and pay the dues.
 
Now that personifies "Don't quit flying er til the last part stops moving"!

well, I reckon with that broken left leg and broken left arm, I wouldn't feel much like trotting around the site, either! And the forehead gash likely left him a bit bewildered! (He sure LOOKED a bit bewildered!)
 
Holy CHIT! I am utterly amazed...and convinced more than ever now that I need harnesses in my plane!
 
Good grief. Definitely time to think someone he was not yet given a chance to see.
